With the 2012 Yamaha T-Max 530 we could be facing one of the most sporting scooters ever made. With a power that you can compare to a bike, its 530 cc engine coupled with the new Yamaha’s belt transmission system and a lighter framework made of aluminum give this maxi scooter features of a motorcycle.
It has a very modern design with sporty lines and its power and speed are ideal for driving in traffic at rush hour. The driving position makes the driver of the 2012 Yamaha T-Max 530 feel very comfortable even on longer trips.
But the comparison with a bike is not made only by the power, lightness and agility, but also because the 2012 Yamaha T-Max 530 is equipped with 15 inch tires on both wheels and a discs braking system with ABS composed by a double disc system on the front wheel and the presence of a large diameter disc (282 mm) in the rear wheel.

The disc brake system was imported from Supersport bikes offering very short times and also short stopping distances greatly increasing the efficiency and safety of braking.

The T-Max 2012 Yamaha ABS is equipped with a liquid cooled engine of two four times parallel cylinders.
2012 Yamaha T-Max 530 can be considered a large scooter which is visible by its weight that in the ABS version reaches 221 kg, with the empty fuel tank. With a full tank the total weight can reach 235 kg, well compensated by the engine power, which means it has a good performance on the road.

The use of aluminum as the base of construction contributes to keep the weight from being bigger. The engine is mounted in the center of the frame to maintain a low center of gravity leading to a better flexibility and easy handling.

With this type of construction 2012 Yamaha T-Max maxi scooter is one of the most stable scooters at higher speeds, and with great agility in city traffic.

The Yamaha brand has a tradition in the sport bikes and implemented several of these features on the 2012 Yamaha T-Max 530, like the new belt drive that allows a better distribution of power and a driving experience similar to a motorcycle.

But the look is where the 2012 Yamaha T-Max 530 stands out with its dynamic and aggressive lines, starting from the twin headlamps in front, to the backlight with LED technology. In terms of external visual 2012 Yamaha T-Max 530 has four base colors, Sonic Grey, Competition White, High Tec Silver and Midnight Black, all of these combinations with very sporty and dynamic looks.
